New book stack thanks to the Harvard Bookstore Warehouse sale!

Outside of A History of Loneliness––which I picked because I LOVE John Boyne’s The Heart’s Invisible Furies––I hadn’t heard of any of these books. But after some Goodreads research I’m actually really pumped about all of them.

QOTD: What do you base your book choices off of?

AOTD: I choose a lot of books based off of recommendations from friends BUT if I have to choose just based off of Goodreads I’ve found that I’ll literally read anything if Roxanne Gay likes it. I love how much posts reviews on the platform, and a book could have a fairly low rating but if Roxanne Gay calls it “beautifully written” and “atmospheric” I’m on board!
